JL and Linda Pelton: Featured Cuer
JL and Linda met square dancing in 2004 and they began round dancing together in 2005. They currently have a Phase 5 Carousel Club in Plano, Texas, and also teach basic and intermediate round dance lessons.
They have taught at many festivals in Texas, as well as at ICBDA conventions throughout the states, and were featured clinicians in Ontario, Canada. Some of their choreography includes Dance With the Devil (4 CH), Lariat of Dreams (5 WZ), and It’s All Right 4 (4 FT).
JL and Linda have actively served in various positions for ICBDA, Roundalab, and other dance organizations over many years. Currently they serve on the ICBDA Technical Advisory Committee, Linda is the ICBDA Secretary, and JL is the webmaster for several dance sites. In 2023, JL and Linda were honored to receive ICBDA’s Distinguished Service Award.
JL retired from the US Postal Service as an Electronics Technician and Network Administrator, and Linda retired from the telecommunications industry as a Technical Writer.
